In my second post on Buchon Street, we have this beauty! Built in 1903, it sits on the corner of Chorro Street and everything about it, from the architecture, wrap around porch (why do we not see porches in new houses?), fencing, color, landscaping and house detail is marvelous! This is my second favorite on the block.
Buchon Street is just a couple of long blocks from downtown SLO. I can imagine the first residents walking down to the mercantile shops on Higuera Street to do their shopping, much like they do today. Makes me happy that these historical homes have been preserved so lovingly and that today’s residents can walk into the downtown corridor to enjoy a variety of restaurants and shops. #LetsGoSLO
