Good Morning SLO

On the fourth Thursday of the month, the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce has a morning program called “Good Morning SLO.” The program starts at 7:30 a.m. and around 300 people arrive early to network, grab a cup of coffee and catch up on the latest happenings around town. It’s so popular it sells out! There, you will find a mix of local government officials, school officials, business men and women who work for local companies or are self-employed. The program consists of speakers talking about a variety of subjects. Subjects can be anything from local fundraisers, social media, updates on legislation and human resource changes, local theatre, people who have made news or garnered awards, sports and just all sorts of interesting information. Every time I attend, I come away with how engaged, relevant and innovative this community is and how much we all care about the place we call home. So, if you already live in SLO and want to be engaged in the community, this program is a good first step. If you are from out of town and want to see how this community rolls, Good Morning SLO is the event to attend. #LetsGoSLO
