Maureen “Mo” Clancy Memorial Girls Track Scholarship

Maureen Clancy Memorial Logo color

I want everybody to save this date: Friday October 16th. Why? Because that is the birthdate of my dear friend Maureen “Mo” Clancy and its the day for a fundraiser for the girls track scholarship dedicated to her memory. Please come to:

California Pizza Kitchen
11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
876 Marsh Street, San Luis Obispo

20% of all purchases will go to the scholarship. Here’s the catch, you MUST BRING THIS FLYER with you.

You see, we lost Mo almost two years ago to ovarian cancer. She was a nurse, a caregiver, a runner (Boston Marathon Finisher) and an exceptional human being. She advocated for ovarian cancer awareness locally and became a member of the Surviveoars, a team of dragon boat racers. She was proudly Irish and loved her husband Seamus. She was a role model. We all miss her terribly.

As a legacy to this strong woman, I created an endowment through The Community Foundation to create a scholarship in her memory. If you can not make the fundraiser, please consider donating HERE.

Getting a college education is getting more and more expensive. In our small way, we want to “Help a Girl Chase Her Dreams.” Who knows? One of our future recipients just might help find a cure for cancer. We know that Mo would be proud. Some come eat a little pizza, pasta, salad or whatever you like best. Your meal will contribute to a great cause.
