Fall is in the air. Thanksgiving is creeping up on us (my favorite holiday). Tis the season for the Avila Valley Barn! The barn is an attraction for adults and children, a working farm that sells fruits, vegetables, pumpkins galore, pies, mixes, all kinds of sauces, baked goods, kitchenware, ice cream, candy, flowers and more! The barn area has several livestock animals that you can feed and pet. Most popular are the goats! They are a bit stinky, but so fun to watch. Its so cute to see wee ones just scream in delight at the animals. There is also a hayride around the farm. At times they also roast fresh corn on the cob for purchase. The smell alone will put you in a grateful frame of mind or stir memories.
It’s a great time to go out to the barn and take a family picture on the hay bails, feed the animals, shop for food goods and have a local homemade SLO Maid Ice Cream. Their Swiss Orange Chips is my absolute favorite ice cream of all time! You should plan on spending no less than an hour because there is so much to do and see. #LetsGoSLO #Grateful
Love this place and I especially LOVE their corn!
